Alliance for Global Education
The Alliance is pleased to offer scholarships for fall, spring, and summer programs in China and India. All award decisions are based on financial need. To be eligible for an Alliance scholarship, you must have applied for financial aid through your home school. The maximum award amount is $4,500 per student for the fall and spring terms and $2,500 per student for the summer term. Students from non-traditional majors or minority backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

AllTheRooms Study Abroad Scholarship
Not everyone has the means or opportunity to travel, that’s why we’re are offering a study abroad scholarship to any student enrolled in, or have plans to enroll in a study abroad program. To be eligible for this scholarship, submit a 600-800 word essay on what inspires you to travel and what you stand to gain from your study abroad experience.

The American Austrian Foundation
The AAF provides fellowships for postgraduate education in medicine, media and the arts. Each year we award more then 1500 fellowships on a meritocratic basis to qualified recipients.

American Councils for International Education
American Councils administers a variety of cultural exchange, study abroad, and research programs on behalf of both public and private funders. Participation in these programs is through an open, merit-based competition, and facilitates mutual understanding between the United States and Eurasia, Southeast Europe and South Asia.

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) 
The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research, study or creative arts projects in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. The number of awards varies each year according to total funds available. Awards are made in all fields.

Arcadia University, College of Global Studies
Arcadia has made available scholarship funds to students participating on specific programs.  Individual awards will range from $500-$2000 and applications will be considered on the basis of financial need.  Scholarships are intended to help those students for whom a moderate amount of financial aid may mean the difference between participation and staying home.

Asia Exchange 
Asia Exchange wishes to encourage students to study abroad in Asia. We award scholarships in value of up to 500 €.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Awards of up to $7500 per year to undergraduate science and mathematics students for their last year or two of undergraduate study and planning a career in science or mathematics. Awards in two categories: two-year scholarships to those who will be juniors and one-year scholarships to those who will be seniors. Must have at least a B average and be a US citizen, resident alien, or US national.

Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan
The Association of Teachers of Japanese Bridging Project offers scholarships to assist students with the travel and living expenses while studying abroad in Japan. Japanese language study is not a prerequisite. Scholarships are $2,500 (for students on semester-long programs) or $4,000 (for students on academic year programs).

Britain's Marshall Graduate Scholarships
Scholarships are available for students who plan to study for a degree graduate or occasionally undergraduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.

CRCC Asia’s China Internship Program provides one, two, or three month internships in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Fluent English is the only language requirement and there is a program start date each month of the year.
We work with over 400 top companies in China to offer a wide range of placements across various industries including finance, law, marketing/PR, engineering, accounting, pharmaceuticals, NGO's and many others. All accommodation and visa processing is included in the program, as well as a variety of social and business events.

Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) Scholarship
Awarded annually since 1992, CAPAL's scholarships have enabled promising students with leadership potential to pursue public service internships in Washington, DC, while learning how to influence policy decisions that affects their communities. CAPAL Scholars are awarded $2,000 each for the successful completion of a summer internship of their choice, as well as the development of a Community Action Plan.

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX)
Awards for students and recent graduates who are interested in experiencing German culture and everyday life through internship and study. CBYX is primarily designed for business, engineering, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields, though applicants from all fields may apply. Applicants from community and technical colleges are especially encouraged to apply. Participants spend a year (July - July) studying and working in their career fields while completely immersed in German language and culture.

CRCC Asia Internship Scholarships, Sanya (China)
CRCC Asia's China Internship Program in Sanya is tailored to enhance both professional and personal development by offering placements in hospitality, tourism, marketing and general business with high-end international hotels. Sanya is often referred to as China's Hawaii, combining beautiful blue sky, long sandy beaches and clear waters. It is the nation's most popular holiday destination. Fluent English is the only language requirement and all accommodation and visa processing is included in the program, as well as a schedule of social and business events. Foundation for Asia-Pacific Education
The Foundation awards scholarships to help enable students to obtain an international experience in the Asia Pacific region.  Students who are from underrepresented populations in international education are a priority.  Students may may apply for any of the four scholarships available from the Foundation provided you meet the eligibility requirements for each one.  They are:

Foundation for Global Scholars & STA Travel
STA Travel has partnered with the Foundation of Global Scholars (FGS) and is offering an innovative scholarship award, Start the Adventure.

Freeman ASIA
Freeman ASIA awards encourage study abroad in East and Southeast Asia. Awards are in the amount of $3000 (semester), $5000 (semester/qtr) and $7000 (academic year).

Fulbright Grants
A wide range of one-year grants to support study, research, and/or teaching abroad. Over 100 countries participate. May include study at a foreign university, research, classes at a conservatory or art school, special project in the social sciences or sciences, or combinations thereof. US citizen; BA or equivalent.

Fund for Education Abroad
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled as undergraduates in US universities/colleges who plan to study abroad for at least four weeks. Awards are intended to support students planning to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs.

Fund My Travel
An excellent way for students to create their own travel campaign and raise money for their program, and then share it with family and friends on Facebook and through email.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship
Scholarships to study or conduct research at Cambridge University with long-term goal of producing future leaders to address global problems related to heath, equality, technology, and learning. Applicants must be admitted to a Cambridge College.

German Chancellor Scholarship Program
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation awards twenty German Chancellor scholarships each year to young professionals with outstanding credentials and leadership qualities who want to do research in Germany for one year. The scholarships are awarded to ten U.S. citizens in the private, public, not-for profit, cultural and academic sectors. Prior knowledge of German is not required.

Global Affairs Canada
Global Affairs Canada, through its International Scholarships Program (ISP) is responsible for the management and administration of a number of international scholarship opportunities for Canadians and non-Canadians.

Benjamin Gilman Scholarship
Gilman Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being $4,000. Undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities are eligible to apply.  Gilman Scholarship Info for Students

Students who apply for and receive the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad are now eligible to receive an additional $3,000 Critical Need Language Supplement from the Gilman Program for a total possible award of up to $8,000.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Scholarships for full-time junior level college students who are planning a career in public service. Provides up to $3,000 for senior year and $27,000 for graduate studies in the US or abroad.

International Education Experience and Employment (IE3 Global Internships)
The IE3 Global Scholarship is presented to highly-qualified applicants to IE3 Global study abroad and internship programs who have financial need. This scholarship is in the form of a $500 - $1500 program fee reduction. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a complete application for an IE3 Global program, as well as a scholarship application. 

IIEPassport Study Abroad Funding
The Institute of International Education (IIE) and Educational Directories Unlimited, Inc. (EDU) are pleased to announce their latest collaborative project, a directory of funding opportunities. This directory will be accessible from the IIEPassport.org website and will provide a comprehensive directory of scholarships, fellowships, and grants for US students who wish to pursue short-term programs abroad at an undergraduate or graduate level. The website will allow prospective students to search by the country in which they wish to study and each search results listing will contain valuable information about the opportunity.

Institute for the International Education of Students (IES Abroad)
We firmly believe that financial limitations should not prevent a qualified student from participating in an IES Abroad program--this is why we commit more than $2 million each year to our financial and scholarship programs.

Institute for International Public Policy - Fellowship program
Students are recruited from across the nation and apply as sophomores to participate in a multi-year sequence of summer policy institutes, study abroad, intensive language training, internships, and graduate study, complemented by career development services along the way. UNCFSP is aided in the student recruitment effort by its institutional partners and distinguished selection panels comprised of practitioners, academics, graduate school admissions directors, foundation executives, and IIPP alumni.
   
Institute of International Education Whitaker International Program
The Whitaker International Program sends emerging leaders in US biomedical engineering (or bioengineering) overseas to undertake a self-designed project that will enhance their careers within the field. The goal of the program is to assist the development of professional leaders who are not only superb scientists, but who also will advance the profession through an international outlook. Along with supporting grant projects in an academic setting, the Whitaker International Program encourages grantees to engage in policy work and propose projects in an industry setting.

Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University (IFSA-Butler) Study Abroad Scholarships
IFSA-Butler believes that study abroad should be within the reach of every student, so we offer a wide range of scholarships and financing opportunities for our students. Any student who applies for an IFSA-Butler program may apply for a scholarship. General scholarship awards are $500 for summer programs, $1,500 for semester programs and $2,500 for full year programs.

ISEP Travel Scholarships

Japanese Government Scholarships
The Japanese Government offers scholarships to U.S. citizens living in Washington through the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle. Scholarship benefits include: monthly stipend, airfare, arrival allowance, tuition, and accommodations.

LIVFund is excited to offer its scholarship in 21 countries including Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela. Marshall Scholarships 
Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.

Morgan Stanley Japan Scholarship
Morgan Stanley Japan is awarding two $7,500 scholarships to US students who will be studying in Japan for the academic year. Eligible students include juniors and seniors at US universities with an interest in economics and international finance who have been accepted for study in Japan.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship
Awards of up to $5,000 for tuition, fees, room and board. Applicants must be either 1) outstanding college sophomores or juniors intending a career in public policy, or 2) current sophomores or juniors who are Native American or Alaska Native with outstanding potential and intending a career in health care or tribal policy. Must have at least a "B" average and be US citizen, resident alien or US national.

National Science Foundation
Encourages U.S. scientists, engineers, and their institutions to enhance their research and education programs through international cooperation.

NSEP David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship
The National Security Education Program (NSEP) provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.
NSEP Boren Scholarships provide funding for summer, semester or yearlong study. The maximum award is $8,000 for a summer; $10,000 for a semester and $20,000 for a full academic year. NSEP emphasizes the importance of language study as a major component of the study abroad program.
NSEP was designed to provide Americans with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation in exchange for a commitment to seek work in the federal government.

These awards are designed specifically to recognize and assist undergraduates as they seek knowledge abroad or through work outside the academic setting.

Point Foundation (Point) The National LGBTQ Scholarship Fund
The nation’s largest higher education scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students.

The School for Field Studies Scholarships 

Semester at Sea/Diversity Abroad Scholarships
Made available through a partnership with DiversityAbroad.com, the Semester at Sea/Diversity Abroad Scholarships are awarded for summer and fall voyages. Scholarships are valued at 50% off the cost of the least expensive cabin category available at the time of confirmation. Up to five scholarships will be awarded for the fall voyage. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded for the summer voyage.

Shawn Carter Foundation-Gilman International Scholarship
The Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund (SCSF) was founded on the belief that any motivated individual in need should have the opportunity to further his or her education. By removing some of the financial burdens associated with going to, surviving in, and graduating from college, the SCSF plays a vital role in increasing college access and success for many motivated yet underserved youth and young adults.

SIT Study Abroad
This year, SIT will award nearly $1.3 million in scholarships and grants to SIT Study Abroad students. We encourage all qualified students to apply for our need-based scholarships.

The Education Abroad Network (TEAN)
TEAN is committed to giving students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience study abroad in a new and exciting culture. We recognize that in many instances, additional funding is necessary to make the study abroad experience both affordable and realistic. These supplemental scholarships were devised as an attempt to help students with the financial commitments required for an international education experience.

ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship
ThinkSwiss offers 15 scholarships for a research stay in Switzerland. This scholarship program supports highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to do research at a public Swiss university or research institute for 2 to 3 months. The scholarship is open to students of all fields.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship
Provides undergraduate and graduate funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service.

Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship 
The Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship is awarded biannually to passionate students who want to explore the world.

UniPlaces Scholarship
Uniplaces is the global brand for student accommodation that is empowering student mobility, especially by making the process of finding accommodation online easier for students.  Recipients will live for a whole semester abroad without having to pay for rent.

The United States - Indonesia Society (USINDO)
USINDO awards grants of up to $2,000 to fund travel to Indonesia or to the United States. These grants are awarded to promote academic and other exchanges between the two countries. USINDO Travel Grants are open to U.S. and Indonesian citizens seeking to travel to Indonesia or the United States to conduct field research or other professional projects, including conferences.

University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)
USAC awards over $1 million in scholarships and discounts each year to assist students with their study abroad expenses. We have a variety of funding opportunities available for students enrolled in USAC programs.

Walter Jensen Scholarship for Study Abroad
Thanks to the generosity of the late Walter Jensen, the AATF is able to offer a scholarship for study abroad to a future teacher of French. Income from gifts of stock given by Mr. Jensen will fund one $2000 scholarship per year to help a student pay for a semester or year's study abroad. This award is intended to allow a deserving student to participate in a long-term study abroad experience he or she might not otherwise be able to afford.
