Mexico Grant Spring Quarter 23

CIEE: Global Institute Open Campus Grants

There are now 14 Global Institute locations – Copenhagen, Berlin, London, Rome, Paris, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Cape Town, Yucatan, Monteverde, Sydney, & Shanghai.  
Each Institute provides opportunities for students to study many disciplines/majors in English as well as language as available.

  • Communications, Journalism and New Media
  • Health Sciences
  • International Relations and Political Science
  • STEM, Environmental Science & Sustainability

Eligibility:

• Must be accepted to one of the CIEE Global Institutes - Mexico Merida for spring blocks 3, and summer 1
• Must also complete the WWU Education Abroad application for the CIEE Global Institute by the program deadlines.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Recipients of these grants must complete a follow-on project including:
Participation in our Western Abroad Blogs or Travel Writing Program, OR a willingness to hold a leadership position within in the WWU Global Ambassadors Club upon return from your study abroad experience to promote international education and stay engaged with international engagement on campus - this is an A.S. club on campus for returned study abroad students, students interested in study abroad, current international students studying at WWU, as well as ANY WWU student interested in international events and engagement!
• Must be in need of financial assistance (not necessarily on financial aid).
