WWU EdAbroad Abroad Video Contest 

The annual WWU Education Abroad (EdAbroad) Video Contest is designed to encourage returned education abroad participants to share their experience abroad with the WWU community.

Open to all WWU students who studied abroad on WWU approved programs during the 2018 Calendar Year.
Application Opens: March 15th, 2019
Deadline: March 24th, 2019 by 11:59 pm

Requirements and Submission Instructions:

• Students must have participated, or are currently participating on an approved WWU EdAbroad study abroad program AND have a complete EdAbroad application through WWU to be eligible.
• Videos may be no longer than 60 seconds.
• Submit your video in digital format, preferably a YouTube link*, through the online application as instructed.  You will need to grant us permission to download the video. *If you do not use YouTube for your video, you will need to supply us with a DropBox or OneDrive link to your video so we can download it.
• Videos that do not meet these specifications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• WWU and the Education Abroad office believe that education abroad should be accessible to all.  Preference will be given to videos that meet WWU accessibility requirements including subtitles and captions.  YouTube offers assistance for accessibility, please visit: https://support.google.com/youtube/topic/7296214?hl=en&ref_topic=3014331 for details.

Complete all online application materials in full and include required information as instructed in the questionnaires online.  Please Note: Only fully completed online applications will be considered.  Videos will be uploaded to the Education Abroad Facebook Page and/or the WWU YouTube channel for online viewing and voting, followed by an EdAbroad Panel Review.  Both online voting results and the EdAbroad Panel Review will be factors in the selection of winner(s). Upon completion of the contest, all contestants will be notified of the results through the WWU email system.

Winner(s) will be announced by Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019.

Winner(s): The video contest winner(s) can receive any or all of the following:
A $50.00 Gift Card for the WWU Associated Students Bookstore
Winners will be featured on the WWU Education Abroad and WWU webpages!

For all Contestants and Winners: All entries will be displayed on the Education Abroad/WWU websites, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and potentially other websites.

PLEASE NOTE: For all entries, your written explanation of the video, its significance, and the impact it had on you is as important as the video itself.

When you click on Apply Now, please select, Winter 2019 for the Available Term and then you will be prompted to enter the itinerary destination and dates for your education abroad experience.  If you traveled to more than one location, you may enter multiple itineraries.
