About

Cynthia Camlin's work in painting and drawing explores environmental change through abstracted forms. The ghostly architecture of coral in recent paintings evokes the rapid withering of ocean life. Previous series present marine ice as complex structures undermined by melt and movement. Camlin’s courses expanding the normal pedagogy of painting and drawing include ART 328 “Art & Ecology” and ART 337c “Figure & Symbol.”
