Study abroad in Thailand and Cambodia in one semester. Spend two months in Chiang Mai, Thailand, followed by two months in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Thailand is truly a land of contrasts, a delightful mix of frenetic energy and serene moments. Hold tight as your tuk-tuk careens high-speed down crowded alleyways, around each corner a new delight. It might be a couple of young, orange-cloaked monks in quiet conversation or the rush of what seems like a thousand mopeds competing for the street. Venture into the bustling markets, a tapestry of exotic tropical fruits and brightly colored spices overloading the senses. The second half of your semester is spent in Cambodia studying abroad in Phnom Penh, an energetic and friendly city. Just as the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers converge in Phnom Penh, so do the country’s brutal recent history and it’s ancient past. A visit to Tuol Sleng is a sobering reminder of Pol Pot’s legacy and yet, Phnom Penh surprises its guests with its warm heart and friendly smiles. Explore the local market, enjoy amok from a riverside café and give in to the youthful spirit of this rebounding city.

"My study abroad experience was awesome to say the least. I was very well immersed in Thailand with their culture. I tried to spend as much time with my Thai roommate and his friends to understand their ways to socialize. I was very open to getting a new experience so I tried all kinds of foods and drinks. The curiosity made me aspire for more. I began to love Thailand and everything that it offers. Cambodia was an experience of its own, which was even more unique. Biking through the busy streets in the scorching heat and a completely different lifestyle where not that many facilities are used was a unique experience."
