Nick Stanger

Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Studies


Nick currently works collaboratively with Coast Salish members to support acts of resurgence and find appropriate ways for settlers to engage and learn about this work. Nick works as an assistant professor of environmental education at College of the Environment at Western Washington University. He completed his Doctorate at the University of Victoria in 2014 and was a Social Sciences and Humanities Council Doctoral Fellow. The main focus of his research revolved around the learning that occurs within outdoor childhood places, and their lasting effects on our lives.
