Scholarships & Grants for Summer Travel
There are many different scholarships for students who want to study abroad. Some highlights that you might consider for summer programs include:
Scholarships for Students with Pell Grant Funding:
- Benjamin Gilman Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study or intern abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need. Undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding are eligible to apply.
- CIEE offers ALL Pell Grant recipients and students with high financial need up to $1000 off program fees and $1500 flight vouchers! Find out more here.
Get Guaranteed Funding when you Study on a WWU Affiliate Program with CEA CAPA, ISA, TEAN & CIEE:
- ALL WWU students get a guaranteed scholarship and flight voucher when they study on a CEA CAPA program! $500 off program fees + $250 flight vouchers for summer!
- ALL WWU students get a guaranteed scholarship when they study on an ISA or TEAN program this summer! $500 off program fees for your chosen program!!
CIEE’s Fall in Love with Latin American scholarship provides a $2,500 savings for CIEE internship programs in Monteverde, Costa Rica or Santiago, Chile.
Other Summer Scholarships:
- Liz Partolan-Fray Memorial Scholarship for Education Abroad is available to WWU students participating in a Global Learning Faculty-led Program during summer.
- The application deadline for USAC scholarships and discounts is March 1, 2025. Fill out one application to be eligible for a variety of scholarships, including one targeted at STEM students.
