About
After completed a master’s degree in Ethnoecology at University of Victoria, Abe moved back to his hometown of Bellingham to teaches courses related to natural history and ethnobotany at WWU and WCC, study plants and pollinators, and support Salish tribes on issues related to revitalizing Indigenous food traditions. He loves harvesting wild foods and is author of the book Wild Berries of Washington and Oregon.
